Biden's advice to his wife: Hang a shotgun over the balcony and fire two indiscriminate shots. An AR-15 is harder to use than a shotgun? An AR-15 produces about 3-5 pounds of recoil in the shooter's shoulder, while a 12 gauge shotgun is going to produce about 70. Armed with an AR-15, Vice President Biden's wife would be able to fire 30 accurate shots at a threat in a very short amount of time with little effort.

James Yeager is a controversial man and prominent figure in the gun community who owns a large firearm training business in Tennessee. In this video he discusses how men believe that their wife or girlfriend can not handle the same type of firearms that they themselves use. He poses an interesting question.. If a man would not carry a small and simple gun, then why should his significant other?

Why is it that men do not trust women with guns? And if they do, why do they buy women guns that are small and lacking in power? Some theories state that since women are viewed as more fragile and delicate, that perhaps men do not feel comfortable with their wife or girlfriend using a weapon that is not simple and small.
CO. State Senator to rape victim On Monday, March 5, Colorado State Legislators held a hearing regarding the ban of students carrying guns on campus. Amanda Collins was sexually assaulted at gun point on her "Gun Free Zone" college campus. She came down to plead with state legislators for the right to carry on campus. State Senator Evie Hudnak (D. District 19) claimed that "actually, statistics aren't on her side" concerning women using guns in self defense. Senator Hudnak also claimed that had Amanda been carrying a gun, she wouldn't have been able to defend herself anyways. Because the attacker was stronger than Collins, he would have just overpowered her and taken her gun. Amanda Collins respectfully disagreed with the Senator.
In another instance with at the same hearing on banning the legal Joe Salazar, a democrat state representative for Colorado had some things to say about women carrying weapons for their own defense on college campuses. He claimed that a woman might not know if she is indeed about to be raped, sexually assaulted, or harmed. If the woman does not know exactly what is about to happen to her, she might shoot the wrong person. He aslo said that women on campus do not need to carry guns because of the presence of call boxes, and "safe" zones. It seems as if Representative Salazar does not believe that women are competent enough to carry a weapon legally on campus because they will cause harm to others by wrongfully believing they are in danger.
